{ LET'S TALK ABOUT DIET }

DIET….it must be one of the word said by women in the world. There are various reasons people go for diet. But on top of all, I think there are TWO major reasons of dieting – to look good and to get healthy. What do you think?

Let us see on the knowledge about dieting through the past decades.

1960’s – it’s all about confusion! A lack of knowledge and numerous dieting fads prevailed.
1970’s – Slimmers were advised to cut down on starchy foods, such as bread, potatoes, rice and pasta because they were ‘fattening’. People did lose weight because they were redcuing the total calories eaten, but it left dieters hungry.
1980’s – The low-fat, high-fibre revolution changed slimmer’s lives. As well as being better for the heart, the new approach to losing weight meant that slimmers were far less likely to feel hungry between meals.
1990’s – The low-fat diet was here to stay but the 1990’2 also taught us the importance of healthy eating; recommending five portions of fruits and vegetables a day and the eating of complex carbohydrates.

Readers, I have a lot of information and recipes for diet as well in my personal collection. Therefore, keep visiting as I will keep on posting to share all of it with you.
